TASNEEM NOOR – 32 years old in 2013
Tasneem majored in Photography and Graphic Design. She had worked for 8 years as a graphic designer before the opening of the first Fika Cafe in 2009.

Tasneem met her husband Joakim in Sweden during a 3 month Europe backpacking trip in 2006. 14 months later they were married. She has a magnetic personality, which coupled with her love for cooking and baking, has made Fika Swedish Café and Bistro a success.

JOAKIM HESHAM SMIDHAGEN – 41 yrs old in 2013
Joakim is originally from Sundsvall, a 4 hours drive north of Stockholm, Sweden. He's a baseball star in his hometown, playing since he was 14. He has now been in Singapore for 5 years. When asked if he'll move back to Sweden some day he always says, "No! I much prefer life in Singapore."

He majored in fine arts and architecture and has been practicing fine art for 22 years. Look out for some of his beautiful work in the cafes.

Joakim is a perfectionist and it is reflected in the decor of both Fika Cafes and the authenticity of the food served. He ensures that all food on the menu is exactly how you'd find it in Sweden. That’s why all our recipes come from his grandma, mamma and friends!

NOOR ABDUL LATIFF – 65 years old in 2013
Tasneem's father, Noor Latiff is the mastermind behind Fika Swedish Café and Bistro. An astute and courageous businessman, he has always encouraged all 4 of his children to become business owners Noor enjoys setting up new businesses and is very particular about detail.

Together, Noor, Joakim and Tasneem make the perfect combination in creating a wonderful experience for you when you dine at Fika Swedish Café and Bistro.
