POLICY AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PAYMENTS & CREDIT CARDS
In both outlets we only accept the following payment forms:
• Cash
• NETS
• Visa
• Mastercard
• JCB
• American Express

Note.
Once you have recieved your bill we recommend you to proceed to the counter in order for you to settle your payment.
Before any transaction we encourage you to double check your bill in order to prevent any form of errors.

For events we only accept:
• Cash
• Cheque (all cheques has to be paid out to Alef Resources Pte Ltd)

Note.
A 50% deposit of the total sum must be paid minimum 2 (two) weeks in advance for the reservation to be confirmed. If a cancelation is being done within 24 hours prior to the set time of the event the deposit paid will become non-refundable.

OPENING HOURS
We are opened 7 days a week, 365 days per year (except for Millenia Walk outlet which is closed during Hari Raya Puasa and Hari Raya Haji)

• Sunday-Wednesday: 11am-10pm, last order is 9.15pm (kitchen only)
• Thursday-Saturday: 11am-11pm, last order is 10.15pm (kitchen only)
• Eve of public Holiday: 11am-11pm, last order is 10.15pm (kitchen only)

Note.
Our upstairs section at our Beach Road outlet is always opened for public:
• Thursdays & Eve of Public Holidays: 6pm onwards
• Fridays, Saturdays & Public Holidays: the whole day
• Sundays, 12noon-6pm

Note.
Opening hours on other days for upstairs may vary due to staff availability as well as customer flow.

OneKM

• Sunday-Thursday: 11am-10pm, last order is 9.15pm (kitchen only)
• Friday-Saturday: 11am-11pm, last order is 10.15pm (kitchen only)
• Eve of public Holiday: 11am-11pm, last order is 10.15pm (kitchen only)

Note.
For all outlets:
Last order for desserts from kitchen falls 15 minutes after al a carte menu last order.
During New Year (31st of December) we close our outlets at 10pm, last order is 9.15pm.



RESERVATIONS AND WALK-INS
We do recommend reservations but its not compulsary for you make one in order to be able to come and have a great time at our cafe.
If we are fully booked and all tables are occupied we will try to open up an extra table outdoors for you (Beach Road outlet only).
Making a reservation will not place you indoors per automatic, but we will do our best in having you seated indoors. The reason is specially during weekends we are almost always full house and we can't please everyone with a seat inside. The only thing we can promise you is that once you have made your reservation and been confirmed you will have a seat when you arrive.

Our policy is to always call our customers on the day of the reservation to confirm the booking. If you for some reason can't answer or chooses not to answer will try to call you again later the same day. If we can't reach you we will leave a message and ask you to call us back as soon as possible. If we haven't heard anything from you prior to your reservation we will see the booking as not confirmed and the reservation is canceled.

Note.
• Special requests will be entertained as much as we possibly can.
• Unreasonable requests will not be entertained.
• We will hold reserved tables for 5 minutes only.
• We don't accept reservations after 8pm.
• We don't accept table reservations via facebook or direct email.
• There's only two ways to make a reservation:
   1.Call the outlet directly
   2.Online reservation (direct links can be found on our website)
• Please call the cafe and inform if you will be late.


SERVICE CHARGE AND GST
There is an add-on to the total bill for service charge (10%) and GST (7%).
There is no service charge for take-aways.


REFILLABLE WATER
We do charge S$0.50 for a glass of refillable water, however 100% of all sales are donated to the Hope Villages Fund in aid of clean, filtered water for the villages in Cambodia.


OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINKS
Our policy here is very simple and straight forward and follows the regulation in our NEA license.

• We do NOT accept any form of outside food and/or drinks to be consumed in our premises (seated at our outside tables are counted as well).
• This includes desserts and cakes.

Exception:
Babyfood (marked Halal) in unopened bottles to be consumed by babies.

Cakes:
If you know that you're planning to celebrate a friends' or family members' birthday at Fika please do remember that you can't bring your own cake. We can't even help you store it in our fridges.
A breach in the above written might cause us to involve the police since it's jeopardizing our business. To help you solve this issue we do have a full range of cakes that you can choose from for your special occasion. Just visit either one of our outlets and talk to our staff.

Note.
• Any order for cakes must be done at least 3 (three) days in advance.
• For cake orders a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total sum must be paid before we order the specific cake.



PETS & ANIMALS
No pets are allowed in our premises, not even at our outside tables.

Exception:
Trained Dogs for blind people. In this case you will be seated outdoors by a table furthest away from our main doors.


HALAL CERTIFICATION
Fika Swedish Café and Bistro is 100% Halal.
We do not have a Halal certification from MUIS but since we are owned and operated by Muslims the certification is not necessary. We do however obtain a Muslim owned certification from the Muslim chamber of congress.


SMOKING AND ALCOHOL
Our cafes are owned and operated by muslims, and by that neither smoking or alcohol is allowed at our premises (both inside and outside).


RAMADAN (FASTING MONTH) AND HARI RAYA
During break fast all outlets will run a shorter menu in order to speed up the operation. Dinner reservation throughout this month is not possible. During Hari Raya Puasa and Hari Raya Haji we will close our Millenia Outlet. Only Beach Road and OneKM will be open.


MENU AND RECIPES
Fika Swedish Café and Bistro serves only authentic Swedish food.
We don't do fusion.
All recipes are either traditional authentic Swedish dishes, (non-traditional) authentic Swedish dishes or our own Fika style version of authentic Swedish recipes. Our sources of recipes origins from my mother, grand mother, relatives and our friends in Sweden.

Note.
• You can only order what's in the a la carte menu and on the menu boards.
• You can only add items to your dish where it specifically says so.
• We rarely entertain changes of items in your ordered dish, but if we do there's always an additional cost involved.


EVENTS
From now on all events requests will be handled by our events department, Nordiska Events.


WEBSITES
Our nordiska events website (www.nordiskaevents.com) is now also optimized for handphone/smartphone/tablet use.

Our fika website (www.fikacafe.com) is not optimized for handphone/smartphone use. It has been tested and it works perfect on both Mac and Windows.
Products tested: Ipad (all versions), Stationary computers (mac and PC), Laptops (mac and PC).

Note.
On Ipad (all versions) the photogallery is not available. To overcome this please use a stationary computer, laptop or alt. install a webbrowser application on your Ipad with support for flash.

We are looking into setting up a application for smart phones, but how it will look like, how it will function or when exactly it will be launched is not yet decided.

If you for some reason had a bad experience in either one of our outlets or just want to air some feedback, please take your time and write to us about what happened so that we can investigate and improve ourselves. Use either our contact form or just simply email us at info@fikacafe.com.

When writing to us please make sure you include the following:
• Which outlet
• Where you were seated
• Date and time
• The names of the staff attending you (if possible).

By doing this you will help us even further and we will be able to reply to you even faster.
